In response established financial services firms have also been building their own modern architectures. Ian Ellis

Technology Strategy Consultant, Venture Partner, and Angel Investor

Ian Ellis is a Venture Partner at Next47, an independent technology strategy consultant and a lead of the OperAngels industry expert angel syndicate.  He has spent the majority of his career working with some of the world’s most prominent organisations, including Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Prudential Financial and Microsoft.

Typically, his work involves understanding key technology trends, aligning them with the technology & business strategies of major organisations and engaging the ecosystem of innovative new companies to find emerging market leaders.

Ian co-founded the OperAngels syndicate of industry experts, focused predominantly on making angel investments in the enterprise tech and cyber security spaces. He is also the Founder of Enterprise Tech London (including the London Enterprise Tech Meetup) and helped build out the Accenture FinTech Innovation Lab in London.

He holds a BA in Economics & Information Studies from University College Dublin and an MSc in Analysis, Design & Management of Information Systems (with distinction) from the London School of Economics.
